The Pay-off
IT'S THE HUNGRY FUCKING CATERPILLARRR
I'm really into red and gray lately.
Or just gray.
I'm really into shit looking colors.
Someone get over here and play paddy-cake with me, I need some oomph for the final lightning round of school. Shoot, I'm hungry! A hungry caterpillar.
I'm going mad.

6 Hour Assignment.
Client: Sega Games, Inc.
Assignment: Full color, 5" x 4" game package illustration for the game, Dark Warrior, based on a Batman like urban crusader.
Did this one in six hours, this being my entire process. First I did a character design, then thumbnails, and then redrew the character like in the thumbnails taking information from the design I made beforehand (there were some changes in the second time through drawing her). And then the digital finish.
I sometimes forget how fun character design is. I really miss it sometimes when I'm doing my 'sophisticated' bullshit, so this was really a breath of fresh air.
And I got my hands on a hard copy of the album! It came out so nice. Yipee.

MY COMICS AND THEIR LOCATIONS.
So, in case if you guys didn't notice, I added a new link to the right to a blog called INK ANSWER, which is a black and white ink comic blog thing that my friends have been doing for a while and I finally got invited into.
So, after I joined, whenever I put comics up on this blog and they saw, they would be like, "Ey Egan! Why don't you post those to ink answer?!"
Soooo I started putting up my comics there. They're also always on my flickr. I have a few new ones that you should take a look at.
....
Oh, what the hell
But really, check ink answer out. Lots of good stuff there.

Earth Week

Updates!
Well, all of the text edits are done for the whole CD packaging and everything, so that means that project has finally come to a complete close! After staying awake for so long leaned over a computer, it's such a relief to be able to say that. I forget when they're trying to get the CD out... I think maybe in May? Ah, well.
This week has been a real killer, but I think if I stayed alive through that (CD stuff + schoolwork), I'll be okay.
So what I got coming up:
Target marketing for Mark Tocchet; I'm doing classic book covers, front and back for a paperback format. I chose to do the Lord of the Flies and Pride and Prejudice, which now I really think about it, besides the fact that these are both classics, these have absolutely nothing in common with each other.
We're doing zines for Tim Gough, which I'm a bit behind on because of the CD, but it should be a laugh once it's done. I put up a few thumbnails in an earlier post.
Tim O'Brien is such a kind man. He's letting me use my actual jobs as school assignments, which I couldn't be more thankful for. I've been contacted by my NYU friend and I've got 2 posters lines up to do. The first one is for their Earth Day Concert, which is being MC'ed by fucking Andrew W.K., and then the second one is for Japanther (who I've seen live 3 or 4 times and each time was amazing and I love them), so you can imagine the excitement.
And then my friend Kate Foust wants me to do something for her band Lady and then I might also do a poster for Toy Soldiers at some point, sooooo we'll see what else goes on.
