The other ideas were scrapped; I stayed over Ron Gallo's house all night and into the late afternoon doing this over.




I'm not sure which I like better. I think I might actually like the blue version because it feels more like watching a TV.

Things to Come

Fuuuuck I wish it came out cooler, but I had a deadline and a bunch of other shit to do for like, actual school.

So, here's what to expect for the future:

1. Mark Tocchet Assignment: Brave New World book cover
2. Tim O'Brien Assignment: "Rolling Stone Album Review" for St. Vincent, that beautiful woman
3. The Earth Day poster for NYU, which I am forcing myself to make as awesome as possible because Andrew W.K. is the fucking M.C. and they are going to have some really big name bands play. HELL YEAH I'M GETTING BACKSTAGE MAYBE HOPEFULLY RUNNING COFFEES/BEERS. Or just hanging.
4. Toy Soldiers are rereleasing their album NATIONALLY, and I'm doing the cover again. This time I'm going to have more reign over the art direction (yessss).
6. 1 month away (hopefully) until Seduction of the Innocent is published with my pin-up in it from so so long ago.
7. I might find myself in a band or something soon as a second vocalist? And aquaintance of mine who actually has some really nice songs; he the tree.

Yippee skippy. I haven't slept for 2 days and my lips have got no more color. Time to go shower, pet the dog, eat, and pass out just to stay up for another 2 days straight.

Never Gonna Happen

Whup whup. This one's for class; Neutral Milk Hotel, which will never play ever again. I thought it would be fitting for them to play at DH's warehome.

Sooooo I have until the middle of next week to do the Shrinebuilder etc poster and word on the street is that the Earth Day fest is going to have some REALLY high caliber bands, so I'm going to try and make that poster as sweet as fucking pie. I think it's confirmed that Andrew W fucking K is MCing it, so that in itself is incredible.
I'm definitely going to hang out for NYU at that one and maybe throw food stamps at the bands.

Jesus christ Wolves in the Throne Room is good. Very excited for that show.

Gonna paper the halls of NYU. Hopefully the administration will approve it.

After this, I'm also going to be doing a poster for a metal show coming up featuring Shrinebuilder, Wolves in the Throne Room and Salome. And then after that, completely switching gears for whoever they have lined up for their Earth Day show.

Edit: Just listened to Wolves in the Throne Room and hot damn are they good.
